Holiday Headaches? Natural Remedies Using Yoga, Breathing, and Many More Home Remedies

Tis the season! This time of year warms our spirits and melts our hearts, but sometimes it also allows for some headaches too.

Who wants to be merry with a headache? It’s a “buzz kill”, a real “Debbie downer”, and definite “negative nancy” — basically no one invited this “party pooper” to the holidays. Here are some things you can do to tone down those terrible headaches that often reduce productivity and joyousness.

What Constitutes a Headache?

Just so we are all on the same page….. A headache is a pain or discomfort anywhere in the region of the head or neck and is an extremely common symptom. Headache can also be classified as a pain in the head with the pain being above the eyes or the ears, behind the head (occipital), or in the back of the upper neck. It can be a symptom of a number of different conditions of the head, brain and neck. The brain tissue itself is not sensitive to pain because it lacks pain receptors, rather, the pain is caused by disturbance of the pain-sensitive structures around the brain.
