We are living in an amazing age where we are told that we can Do It All! And yes it’s possible but it takes a toll. Trying to keep it all straight is a major balancing act, and often; we are the ones that lose out. This is especially true for mothers. Our need to take care of everyone else leaves little time left to focus on ourselves. One day, we look in the mirror and the reflection we see is not recognizable and certainly not confident. In order to find our path back, to be inspired to be fabulous, to be empowered by our own confidence and feel comfortable in our own skin again, we need help! That’s when you call in my neighbor and Ladies for Lemons Vendor, Jen Wildgust, of Reflections of Radiance!
Jen Wildgust is a Certified Image Consultant and motivational speaker. She launched Reflections of Radiance in 2017, as a way to share the gifts of confidence and acceptance of self with others.
Like so many girls today, Jen struggled with her confidence as a teenager. Never quite feeling like she measured up to her peers in school, she recognizes the struggles and pressures teenagers face today.
As a young mother, Jen battled postpartum depression and wrestled with finding her own identity while managing the demands of motherhood. Like many mothers of young children, Jen’s personal style reflected her preference for function over form. Sweatpants, t-shirts and ponytails became the new normal.
Joining a direct sales jewelry company when her oldest started elementary school allowed her to grow both personally and professionally. Ignited by her passion for encouraging others and fueled by her love of writing and speaking, Jen developed and delivered multiple motivational talks throughout the region. As she built her business, Jen discovered her own personal style and began shedding her “Mommy Uniform”.
Inspired by her newfound confidence, Jen began her fitness journey. From strength training to running, she was encouraged by so many amazing women to push beyond her own personal limits. Running multiple marathons taught her that she is capable of more than she ever dreamed possible. Continuing her journey, Jen’s desire is to motivate and encourage women to discover and achieve their own goals.
As a speaker, Jen shares stories, often humorous, from vulnerable parts of her life: awkward teen years, postpartum depression, navigating early motherhood, balancing a career and motherhood and finding yourself again. Through one-on-one and group style consulting, Jen connects with those who are seeking confidence and acceptance with themselves as she equips them with tools to look and feel their best.
Ultimately, Jen’s mission is to empower all women to reflect the radiance that lies within.
