Like most moms, I am always on the lookout for ways to get my kids to eat healthier! Here are some helpful articles and homemade tips for hiding the healthy in your kids’ favorites!
Here are 10 Ideas To Add Plants To Kids’ Meals:

2) Can I Give My Baby Guide
First, let’s answer some questions about what you can and cannot give your baby! Can I give my baby …. Guide to answering mystery. This guide provides instant info on what you can or can not feed your baby!
When my kids were trying new foods, I made my own baby food to ensure pure ingredients without preservatives. The Baby Bullet guide was seriously “my bible” when my kids were trying new foods and now you can have it online without the purchase of a bullet. Even if you have another blender that can do the job or can’t always make your food. At least this will guide you to when they should be trying which foods.

4) Healthy Solutions for Picky Eaters
Of course tots are notoriously finicky eaters, but since you surely want to get your little one to have healthy eating habits it’s important to introduce her to new foods and flavors. Whether you’re raising her vegetarian or looking for way to pack protein in her diet, use this guide to help get your little one munchin’ on the good stuff in no time.
6) Making Over Your Toddler’s Meals
Wondering if your finicky little food critic is getting the nutrients he needs in his meals – and snacks? You can boost the nutritional value of your tot’s favorite fare and keep those little taste buds happy with these healthy meal-makeover strategies:
RECIPE REHAB: Spaghetti With Tomato Sauce (and meatballs)
- Does your toddler have a passion for pasta? Cook spaghetti made from whole wheat, spelt, or quinoa grain, or select pastas fortified with extra protein and healthy omega-3 fats. Add minced or pureed squash, carrots, cauliflower, or broccoli to marinara sauce, or even stir in pureed tofu for protein – the tomato sauce hides any hint of healthy (what’s more, the tomato sauce itself is a nutritional standout).
- Making meatballs? Or meat crumbles? Use lean ground beef or buffalo or white-meat turkey and slip in finely minced or shredded bell pepper, cauliflower, or carrot. Your mini-meatball muncher will never know it’s there.
RECIPE REHAB: Chicken Fingers- This Is one place I seriously feel like a failure as a health-conscious parent — Why are my kids always interested in fried food?!?! I mutter to myself as I try to incognito as I leave the drive thru window. I wish I could time-warp to the first time she had a chicken nugget (especially the finicky eater-loving dinosaur chicken nugget, which is often extinct in most grocery chains)! However, then they would be the kids who aren’t allowed to eat nuggets, so lets compromise on the colonel’s favorite recipe…
- Fast-food restaurants have given these favorite finger foods a deservedly bad rep, but it’s easy to turn this toddler pleaser into a healthy and happy meal — just delete the grease! Make your own version by dunking chicken-breast cutlets in beaten egg whites or yogurt, rolling them in whole-wheat bread crumbs and then popping them in the oven to bake (add some grated Parmesan to the crumbs for an intriguing cheesy taste). You could also check out nutritious frozen brands of chicken nuggets that are fast to fix. Or for a frozen alternative that offers plenty of protein, look for soy-based nuggets. Your tot will be so busy dipping them in honey mustard or marinara sauce that he won’t even taste the difference.

7) Homemade Popsicles can hide some puréed veggies or store-bought baby food or vegetable juice!
8) Juice Heads Can Be Healthy! Your kids don’t know what juice is supposed to taste like, so I just have my kids convinced that green juice (sometimes I buy Naked or Boathouse) or the juice boxes with real fruit and vegetable juice. But water is the best for you, so I may flavor water with crushed fruit or even essential oils or Natural Calm’s kids magnesium/multivitamins mix with water to make a juice! Also, pear juice is very good for digestion and combats constipation so I mix that into my toddler’s who has issues with that! A lil “poop juice” helps get things going!

9) Cook with Essential Oils! Some essential oils can be ingested and are a great way to add immunity boost or supplement important nutrients into your little one’s diet. Always do a very small dose to start – to ensure very small dose, try dipping a toothpick into the oil bottle and then into your saucy ingredients. 10) Grow a Garden – kids are much more likely to eat food which they have grown. More about that as we prepare our 2019 home garden! A home garden can be as simple as a bucket with a tomato plant! The benefits to kids gardening grows beyond just eating healthier!
