This past week we enjoyed the summer solstice—a moment that marks the “official” start to summer, filled with generous hours of sunlight and a certain wildness that defines this special season. It is time to kick off our shoes, walk barefoot in the sand, and relax bedtimes just a bit, so kids can catch fireflies and see fireworks.
The thing about summer is that it seems to FLY by. As the Solstice hits, our calendars are full for a productive and hopefully fun summer with lots of hours outdoors! We just pray that the weather cooperates with our plans and that sun, rather than rain, showers our playful days!
