Sometimes we women need to relearn how to be human beings. We need to find opportunities to quiet our mind and get back to nature! I know that it is easier said than done, so when an event like this comes up, I had to jump! Nature Therapy, Women Empowerment, and lady tribe Community – some of my most favorite things!

The morning started off with a Women’s Wooded Walk with Hippie Brand Co., their community and some of my Oily tribe! We did some soul-searching circle time, and solo/group Forrest Bathing. We each received a special gift —gemstones with affirmations and a drop of Awaken blend essential oils to awaken our senses and our spirit to new and harmonious growth! It was symbolic to see the forrest reawakening with the rebirth of Spring and the Renaissance of many beautiful elements of my own life!
Late morning, my husband and I went to Bible study 101 class at church, which also included this resonating theme of Rebirth. My girls went to their Sunday school class so we all got some salvation in to remind us to be salt and light throughout the week!

Note: We did not buy the blinged out lion!
I am humbled when I think about how switching gears between womanly roles several times throughout a day is just a normal occurrence in 2020! I am also truly grateful when I remember that our family’s domestic shared responsibilities would have never happened 100 years ago, and probably not even 50 years ago in most homes. We have come so far, but there is a still much more progress ahead. That’s what this holiday is all about! Click here to learn more about the History and Goals of IWDay.
I also am a big advocate of Vision 2020, a national coalition of individuals and organizations in all 50 states working together for women’s economic, political and social equality in the United States. Today, Lynn Yeakel and @vision2020women are gearing up for year of activities marking 100 years post 19th amendment (women’s right to vote — and all much more!) #vision2020women100
