You know we love promoting Entrepreneurs and small businesses. Today, we begin a Blog Series that hopes to create a constructive space to help friends of color to grow their businesses and live their purpose.

We are so blessed to live in a diverse group of communities, where we can meet and learn from people of different backgrounds and far-reaching cultures, who can blend in our great melting pot.
As our nation pays tribute to our black citizens, our country’s innovation has inspired great tech apps that highlight black-owned restaurants, such as Eat Okra, Black and Mobile, and Eat Black Owned. The new efforts popping up are consolidating all that info for each city into easily-accessible lists.
As we are based in the Philadelphia suburbs, we were inspired by this BillyPenn.com article. Some list curators hope to build up and promote Black Business Owners in the Philadelphia area. According to a crowdsourced database inspired by the recent protests, there are at least 150 businesses spread across Philly (see the growing map — link below). The map curators did this by creating a few brilliantly useful resources to help potential patrons to find and support these businesses:
- Click for the Current Map of Black-Owned Businesses which we want to add to!
- Click for the Restaurant Black-Owned Dataset
We want to further assist these brave curators by offering some additional fabulous friends, who are Black Business Owners and Entrepreneurs of Color! Get to know our friends…
