We know we were supposed to be doing a series about Food as Medicine, and we promise that there are several plant-filled posts in the works. It’s always a good time for Kindness and today is World Kindness Day!
This is the perfect day to highlight the Pennsylvania Horticultural Society’s Harvest 2020 program, which helps address food insecurity in the Greater Philadelphia region by engaging gardeners to grow and share crops with their communities.
In the spirit of giving, PHS partnered with local organizations to help provide food assistance literally in our own backyard. Read their latest blog post to find out more about the program, and learn how the fruits and vegetables from our Ornamental Kitchen Garden nourished our community.

To commemorate World Kindness Day in a local way, perhaps a Food Drive may help warm your heart on this Friday the 13th. As our community is suffering a tragic loss at this time, we find solace in helping those in need and bringing neighbors together in love and support.
On Veterans Day, we delivered approximately 200 meals and 100 paper products to the Chelten Seeds of Hope Food Pantry in the Heart of Cardinal Country of Upper Dublin! Thank you so much for giving and thanks to @letsgetmovingwithamy for camping out on a beautiful day. Thank you to Kiss My Mass Productions for the decorating the masks/bottles! If you didn’t make it out, we will leave a collection container out until Nov 17th or contact me to arrange something so you can get your giveaway! We still have some left because people are so giving and didn’t even take (inspiring but creates storage issues!)
