DIY BOTANICAL BEAUTY RECIPES

DIY #1:  Uplifting Face Serum 

(recipe from Oil+Glass)

Ingredients for a 2ml Glass Dropper Bottle
(adjust recipe per bottle size):
~ 1 drop Frankincense EO or Elemi EO
~ 1 drop Ylang Ylang EO (we subbed Joy EO)
~ 1 drop Lavender EO
~ 1 drop Patchouli EO
~ Carrier Oil Such as:  Rosehip oil, OR Argan oil OR Marula oil
*you can experiment with the carrier oil (s) that work best with your skin type as a base for this serum. These carrier oils are hydrating, high in Omegas, antioxidants, and rich in Vitamin E.

Preparation:
Drop essential oils into bottle. Fill the remainder of the bottle with your chosen carrier oil.

Application:
Apply to face, morning and night, before applying moisturizer.

 


 

DIY #2:  Essential Oil Infused Bentonite Clay and Activated Charcoal Mask

Ingredients: (Should be consistency of toothpaste)
~ Coconut Oil -> Moisturizing, good for wrinkles
~ Apple Cider Vinegar – ACV -> Good for inflammation, soothing to skin
~ Grapeseed Oil -> Does not clog pores, not greasy
~ Charcoal -> Removes Dirt & Oils, Absorbs Toxins, Brightens Skin
~ Bentonite Clay -> Clears Up Skin Problems. Strengthens the Immune System. Removes Harmful Toxins. Provides a Good Source of Nutrients
~ Baking Soda -> Natural exfoliate, tightens pores
~ Vitamin E Oil -> Antioxidant, moisturizing
~ Choose Your Skin Type – Use Appropriate Oil:
TYPE 1: Acne/Oily Skin Oils
> Oils: Purification, Manuka, Kunzea, Tea Tree
TYPE 2. Dry/Normal/Sensitive Skin Oils
> Oils: Geranium, Patchouli, Copaiba and Lavender

 


DIY #3:  Nightly Under-Eye Roller

(Recipe from Oil+Glass)

Ingredients for a 2ml Roller Bottle
(adjust recipe per roller bottle size):
~ 2 drops Lavender EO
~ 2 drops Lemon EO
~ 2 drops Frankincense EO
~ 1 drop Alcohol-Free Unscented Witch Hazel
~ Top off with Sweet Almond Oil

Preparation:
Drop essential oils into roller bottle. Add drop of witch hazel and fill remainder of bottle with sweet almond oil.

Nightly Application:
Gently roll bottle between hands to mix before each use. Due to the photo sensitivity of this recipe, we recommend applying this under your eyes only at night (carefully avoiding eyes).
